"Cinucen Tanrikorur was born in Istanbul in 1938. He is a composer, singer and ud player. After producing programmes of classical Turkish music for TRT (Turkish Public Radio and Television), ... he pursued a career as a soloist, lecturer and teacher of great repute. He has composed over 300 instrumental and vocal works. At present he is a soloist in the Ministry of Culture." (written by Marc Loopuyt, translated by Derek Yeld, from CD's program notes) On this CD, Cinucen Tanrikorur is accompanied by Murat Salim Tokac on ney (Turkish reed flute) and Fahrettin Sukru Yarkin on bendir (frame drum).

"Fasil" was released in 1995 by Le Chant Du Monde in Paris (France). I have not seen this CD in U.S. so far. In Europe, Le Chant du Monde is ditributed by Harmonia Mundi.
