The members of Fasl are Kudsi Erguner (ney), Suleyman Erguner (ney), Hasan Esen (kemenche), Hasan Erkoc (oud), Husnu Anil (qanoun), Nureddin Celik and Sami Ozkanli (def), Fahreddin Yarkin (bendir), Yusuf Gebzeli, Gursel Kocak, Dogan Dikmen, Sevim Alakus, Melihat Gulses (voice).

"A performer on the ney, and a descendant of a family of Turkish musicians, Kudsi Erguner studied music in Istanbul with his father Ulvi Erguner, the last great performer on the ney. After contributing to the musical life in the capital, he came to live in Paris in 1975. A student, then an architect and an accredited musicologist, he has performed in many concerts both in Europe and the United States. In these concerts he has explored Sufi music (the tradition to which he himself belongs).
In 1988, he created his Fasl ensemble, bringing together the great masters of traditional classical music..." (written by Kudsi Erguner, translated by Frank Dobbins, information from CD's program notes)
